Here's a glimpse of what's happening at YORK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL a NC STEM School of Distinction. STEM happens in the classroom and in the lab. Students come out to the lab about once a week to work on engineering units. While not in the lab they are working on project based activities in the classroom with their homeroom teacher. We love using new technologies, but with our budget sometimes the best projects come from using recycled materials. Just a few things we've added to the lab... Makey Makeys, 3D Printers (Lulzbot (2) and Flashforge), Dot and Dash Coding Robots, 3Doodlers, Little Bits Circuits, Sphero, Keva Planks, Zoobs, and tablets.
